there’s no real order to anagrams. If something is an anagram for one thing, it’s obviously vice versa.

eleven plus two is an anagram for twelve plus one

You used numbers.

You never specified. Because of that it could have easily been assumed as something else.

if someone assumed that they assumed wrong, because what I said was clear as day. They just have no clue what an anagram is, apparently.

No, you used NUMBERS so people will think in numbers and NOT letters.

Use your brain. It’s really not assumption, more of just you not specifying what you meant.

Which is exactly why I didn’t put “11+2 is an anagram for 12+1”

I specified fine. If someone thinks in numbers that’s them being stupid because if I wanted to use numbers, I would have used numbers. Either way, if that’s what you meant, order had nothing to do with it.

Order had everything to with it. Think outside the box.

And either way you used numbers. It doesn’t matter if they were written or not you still used them.
Not everybody automatically assumes like you do since you seemed to assume that everybody knew what you meant.

*sigh* Anagrams are when you can rearrange the letters in one word or phrase to make another word or phrase. Not counting spaces, of course. For example, “live”, “evil”, “veil”, and “vile” are all anagrams of each other. “Satan” is an anagram of “Santa”. Interestingly, “the morse code” is an anagram of “here come dots”, “conversation” is an anagram of “voices rant on”, “heavy rain” is an anagram of “hire a navy”, and “David Letterman” is an anagram of “Nerd amid late TV”.

So you can rearrange the letters in “twelve plus one” to make “eleven plus two” and vise versa. Which is really awesome because mathematically 12 + 1 = 11 + 2. Actually, even if you use actual symbol numbers, “12 plus 1” is still an anagram of “11 plus 2”.

It does not apply to numbers in number form.

...no, order had nothing to do with it. You are saying that the reason they don’t get it is because apparently they were thinking “11 plus 2” is an anagram for “12 plus 1” (which it still is, so even if they were thinking in terms of numbers, they would have known what the gist was if they knew what an anagram was, which apparently they don’t).

If someone wants to make stupid assumptions that is their problem. If someone wants to think in terms of numbers (where the anagram would still apply) that’s their fault, because I used letters. Can’t blame me for someone else’s stupidity.
