I have been burning downloaded movies to DVD and then I installed the K Lite Codec pack and now when I try to burn using Nero Vision it says Transcoding Error. Can someone help me with this?

R U using Nero 7 or 6? If U used Nero 7 they r still very buggy n unstable. It makes no difference whether U have K-Lite codecs pack installed or not. The movie itself r already encoded either in DivX or Xvid. Instead of converting it 2 DVD 4mat, why don’t U just get hold of a DVD/DivX/Xvid (MPEG4) player? It not only save U money on recordable DVD disc, it also very convenience 2 burn on a CD-R s data. Stand-alone MPEG-4 (DivX, XviD...) Player Buyers Guide

I am using Nero 7. I ended up following the advice of someone who posted a way around the same problem. http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/6198p1.html is the link to the thread. It works wonderfully but takes some time.

Im useing Nero 7 premium to burn avi to dvd. Mostly movies I down loaded. But just recently on some movies I get a ausio lag. The sound is about 4 seconds ahead of the movie. When I play them in my OC it workd fine. Ive tried everything from dvdsanta, convertXtodvd. But its seems that none of these programs reconize my avi files. Also what can I use to burn .mkv files....

How do you avoid audio lag when using Nero 7 to transcode a downloaded movie to DVD. I’ve also tried to burn as a VCD but to no avail as its always bigger than available space on a cd.

Hey whenever i burn avi to DVD using nero 7 ultra edition it all works according to plan and says it completes succesfully, then when i try to play it on my dvd player it has lines going over the screen as if it was a vhs with bad tracking, like moving horizontal lines moving from the top to the bottom. On my other dvd player it doesnt play at all...whats the problem?

I’m having some of the same issues. When I burn an avi file to DVD to watch on my DVD player, about 20-25 min into the movie, the sound is off by about 2-4 seconds. I’m still researching the net to find out if anyone has found a solution for this. Keep the thread going and thanks..(running Nero 6)
