It happens to me all the time... i’m used to it.
If you are drunk or you are smoking weed than that could be a possible reason you are hearing things. lol. ---

I was in a hotel room and I couldn’t sleep for some reason I was just restless as fuck.
And all of a sudden out of no where I heard “Kassandra .... Kassandra”.
It was whispered and it sounded like it was right beside me and the room was pitch dark except for the red light on the ceiling for the smoke detector.
Needless to say I didn’t sleep at all that night. ---

He’s a big guy, and i’ve witnessed him be scared of 'nothing' so far.
___________________________________________________________________
He was alone in there, minding the hostel one night. He was woken by the sound of ancient Native Indian style singing - you know the sort of thing i suppose.
The noise was - as he described it - all around, not loud, but just 'there' with him in the room. He was 75Km away from 'anybody' else. He assumed it was a visitor playing a trick, but as soon as he opened the room door - total silence. Nothing. He scoured the building, and never found anybody till 2 days later when the owner returned.
I’m not sure what to say about the voices you heard John. The mind is an amazing thing. I’ve seen a few things that are impossible/improbable. Ghosts? Madness? Imagination? I have no idea. Maybe a specific topic to get scared over would be a good idea? i’d like it as long as the stories weren’t obviously made up. | |

Yeah, Im a native american indian, and I’ve lived on reserves. I could explain your friend’s encounter. Well, not really explain, but give you some information on the subject.
Native american reserves have very bloody histories. When the white man came after us for the land claims, they didn’t let anyone stop them, and unfortunately, alot of indians died.
Native american indians have alot of pride in their culture and it is very fascinating that your friend heard the music. Usually, the indian music/singing is used for celebration. However, it is also used in times of war, famine or for Indian dance purposes.
It is quite possible that the spirts of these Indians was what your friend encountered. It is a very common thing that people encounter on the reserves., no offence, but especially non-Indians claim to have seen or heard these phoenomenas.
Not to menchin that Indian burial grounds, which are very sacred places could have aggravated the encounter as well.
Unfortunately, most of the time, you wouldn’t know what is Indian Burial ground and what isn’t as these Indians were buried so long ago that theres nothing left to mark their resting places. ---

UBER 1337 Poster Rep: 5 Joined: 26 Oct 2006 Posts: 1,037 OFFLINE | BayBee, many thanks for your reply - i appreciate all that info. I have an interest in history, of 'all' cultures, and yes, i agree with what you say - your ancetors where treated in a vicious manner - for what it’s worth, im sorry our history contains such events. Even now, the remains of great civilisations are left in ruins - just token reserves. I dunno, just wrong to me, on a planet where there is sooo much space for us 'all'.
The sound my brother heard was of a lone singer. A forceful voice, and as he said - as clear as if he was sat in the room with him - makes me shudder to think about it.
Also, the building is situated on a burial ground (or just next to it).
Hey, “no offence”?? i doubt a person like you could offend me i have heard it said before that voices/sounds are heard especially by non-natives. Whhhoooo, you’d not catch me there alone i can tell you.
In this specific hostel, it does have Native Indian relics and signs etc. all over the place - paintings of great chiefs, tribes, even some photos. My brother said it is always a place where you feel 'watched' no matter what is happening around you.
=====================================================================
A time in our history, a time to repent,
For lives that have suffered, for lives that are spent,
In all of our dealings, I wish them to rest,
For a life that is shortened, was the devils request.
Let the loss of these honourable people prevail,
as I reminder to man, how as humans we can fail.
