Yes true.

Movies will always be leaps beyond video games when it comes to stories.

Video games are a different medium and and is better at different things such as fun and control.

Release a demo, after a week start a poll of they thought the game demo was good or bad, if good, release, if bad, make players and users send letters to help improve.

And the story is always only good by video game standards.

Due to the fact that the person has to play the video game the story is really limited otherwise the person cannot play the video game.

Video games were are for fun.

Books and movies are for stories, only the ones with the great stories are remembered.

For video games it’s the ones with great gameplay and sometimes good stories by video game standards.

Take a video game story and compare it to a good movie or book and you’ll find that the video game story is extremely lacking.

The only difference between a video game and a movie is the fact that one is more interactive. I guarantee that if Square Enix decided to take the Final Fantasy franchise and create a book series based on each game that they world sell millions and be hailed as great works of fiction. The story in a game can be just as compelling and deep as a movie.

Difference is they are BOOKS. With books they can make the story much deeper. Same with movies, with movies the story can be made much deeper.
