This topic is for all of you who actually are interested in hombrew. Homebrew on game systems is actually not illegal. It is just something programmers enjoy doing. It can also be 3rd Party game creation, even if you aren’t in a business, you can get a developers kit.
First off, i would like to keep this off of the subject of the following subjects.
Backups
though not against the rules, I do not believe any of you are actually “backing up” games you already own
Illegal/Non moral Homebrew Programming
To bypass the code scanning, Changing the actual game files, etc.
Modchips
These arn’t even F-in Homebrew, so leave if this is what your here for.
Programming and/or Homebrew Programming Tutorials
C++
This is a well used language in programming on some game systems and handhelds. It can also give you the knowledge needed to create your own programs on a computer.
C#
C#(or C Sharp) Is the most powerful programming language today, and can be used on a number of systems if you know how to use it. I, am still learning C#, but i already see a power difference between C# and Visual Basic
Lua
This is where i recommend you start if you are new to programming. This is a very easy to learn programming language (as far as programming languages go!) This language can run on Gamecube/Wii, Xbox/Xbox360, PSX,PS2,PS3.
Python
The same thing as any C programming, it is object orientated, but this is more for Linux/Mac OSX users. This still runs on windows. All systems if used correctly.
XNA
All you Xbox fanboys who want their 360 to be programmed, this is your language. Mainly only programs the Xbox systems.
*I will look for better tutorials if needed.
If anyone is interested in homebrew, or you are programmer who wants to work on homebrew, then this is a topic for you to discuss everything about the topic. Im guessing this will probably get absolutly nowhere...
