Thank you for attending The Movie Codec Problem Meeting.

Before things get under way, I would like to establish a few ground rules to ensure that the meting and all discussions within go as smoothly as possible.

Firstly..NO FLAMMING, SHOUTING OR HATRED TOWARDS FELLOW MEMBERS. I want people to voice their concerns and grievances if they concern another MVC members actions civily.
This means, if you have a problem with a members actions, Address the situation, NOT the person. By all means say how you really feel but avoid accusing the other person.
If need be, use I statements like this.

I didn’t like {INSERT SITUATION HERE} because (INSERT FEELINGS AND OPINION HERE}.

Secondly, if raising a new concern/topic, please use this BB Code -

[size=18*][b*]INSERT CONCERN/TOPIC HERE [/size][/b]-at the start of your post.

Just take out the '*' in the first part of the code.
This will help people see when a new concern/topic is raised so that all concerns/topics can be addressed and no ones concerns/topics will go un noticed and un addressed. I will also have this code in my signature for people to copy if needed.

Thirdly, you can remain annonymous if you so wish by posting as a guest. Please o not feel like your opinions will speak negativly of you. EVERYONES POINT/OPINION IS WELCOME AND VALID.

That about covers it for the rules.

So please feel free to voice your concerns and together we will see if we can make MVC a better place to be

The faking/discussion of Traumatic events..EG: RAPE


Now, as some of you are aware, I decided to leave MVC recently and many of you do not know why.

The reason is this.

On MVC there has been jokes about Suicide, Rape, Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse and other traumatic experiances for those who have indeed experianced them.

I am one such person.

I was Raped when I was in school by some older children.

I could not stand the jokes being made about such a traumatic thing as rape and it was eating away at me along with the other trauma issues that were being made light of.

I left beacuse it was effecting my home life and my personality on and off MVC.

I have however some back to set things right and try to fix the problems so that this will not happen to others and so that others may have a better understanding of how their actions may have a neagive impact on others.

I am sorry that i have made a few rape jokes in my earlier times at Moviecodec as it seemed everyone was doing it. I have learned my lesson and have not said a rape joke for a while.

Though the other topics like Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse i have not seen people make jokes of.

No Mods left on to police MvC at certain points.

I have raised this issue before but as nothing has been done i shall raise it again.

When i go on at night in NZ there is almost always no one of Authority on.

So it means that Spammers Rule Breakers etc can run rampant with no one to keep them in check.

Dont really no what to do about but i think that maybe we need a late night patrol man of such.

Just throwing it out there.
