anonymous Guest | I should make a slight modification to that statement. I re-tested some of this and it seems Real Alternative’s DirectShow splitter is not quite perfect yet.
Using Windows Media Player I was able to play Real Video files with the RealVideo 8, 9, and G2 codecs, but I couldn’t get a file encoded with the RealVideo 4 codec to work. I also had trouble with audio files.
With Media Player Classic I didn’t have any of those problems.
One last thing I want to mention I couldn’t get any video at all in Real Alternative version 1.25. I had to revert to version 1.23, which is what prompted me to do this little testing. Maybe the problem is specific to my machine, maybe not - feedback from other testers welcome. |
