trancer Guest | Anything that is already out on DVD would be good 'cause you could almost surely find a high-quailty rip to download, as opposed to a screener or such. Off the top of my head (not sure if you’ll like any of these ideas):
The Matrix, LotR, Fight Club, Lost Highway, Braveheart, Fast/Furious, Pink Floyd- The Wall, Natural Born Killers, JFK, Kill Bill Vol.1, Black Hawk Down, Hulk, Spiderman, Full Metal Jacket, Bowling for Columbine, Go, Happy Gilmore, The Big Lebowski, 12 monkeys, Tomb Raider, American History X, Star Wars, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, Phone Booth, Taxi Driver, Dazed and Confused, War of the Worlds, Seven, X-Men, The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable, Starship Troopers, 8 Mile, Jurassic Park, The Score, The Usual Suspects, The Green Mile, IT, Austin Powers, Ice Age, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., Men in Black, Forrest Gump, Harry Potter, Shrek, Independence Day, Jaws, Back to the Future, Ocean’s Eleven, Beautiful Mind, Rocky, Silence of the Lambs...
Give you any ideas? | |

trancer Guest | As for the synch problems, see if this relates (go way to the bottom of the page and see 'DVD Audio'):

As for Final Destination2... typically I try to avoid running other programs when I burn discs, less chance of producing a coaster or skipping media... Just shut down Kazaa for a few minutes when you burn the disc, then fire it up again when you are done.
The only way you can move/drop&drag the file out of the folder is to be sure that it isn’t in use by Kazaa, unfortunately that means either shutting Kazaa down or temporarily disabling the sharing of the folder the file is in... or you may be able to right-click>copy>paste the file to another folder and have two copies on your HDD...

trancer Guest | I’d stay away from DC Moviez, from what I have seen... I don’t prefer to pay for any type of service or software I can’t find elsewhere for, ah, free. I also found it odd that there weren’t really any reviews or articles about it. And no trial. Personally I wouldn’t flash my credit card at someone unless I knew what I was getting... but if you want to try it out, post back and let me know.

tuna Guest | If you use MS Movie Maker 8 you need to buy a program that will convert your edited movie into a format that will play on you DVD player. MS recommends a product put out my Sonic. Go to MS Movie Maker web site to look up your options.

Jerilee Guest | Hey there everyone, I have read through all the postings and was able to figure some of this out on my own. Just wondering were to obtain the mpeg movie files, all I seem to be able to download & find are avi’s ? Using the Ulead Moviefactory and have used Nero and both will not support an avi. Checked for errors on the avi and are none. Please help if you can. Many thanks.

Vaporware Guest | I have been using Ulead Moviefactory 3 for approximately 1 month now with satisfaction. Recently I decided to screw everything up by installing a few Codec Packs which contained Codecs and Utilities I previously didn’t have(

barbiezz Guest | Hey me again, ok worked through the avi issue. I guess the only question I have at the moment is there a possile way to get a good dvd burned movie. I was able to copy a dvd I owned-Road to Perdition and came out perfect-well it did not have the copy restriction on it. Does anyone ever upload good quality? Or are just all the screener versions available. Any light shed on this would be so greatly appreciated.

evlprincess003 Guest | you are close. the problem is you need to run your dvd through another program. you can not buy the program anymore. but it is available on some freeware sites. search for “dvd shrink 3.0 beta V5.0”. it comes with a guide. if u have any questions my email is garcia_cantrell_04@yahoo.com

Butters Guest | OK here’s what i do, I have chosen these programs out of the dozens available on the net and I’ve chosen these programs because of there simplicity of use and general results.
Burning/Ripping DVD video disks
Decrypt - http://www.dvddecrypter.com/
It’s dead easy to use and takes about 30 Min’s to rip a DVD. And when I mean dead easy to use I mean it
The I convert the .vob files to .avi
I use Auto GK - http://len0x.btothec.com/web3/
This takes a long time about 4 hours per disk (depending on what quality you want to convert the files at) but I feel that this is a small price to pay because the quality is so good and the program is so easy to use.
Then I convert the .avi file I created with Auto GK to a .vob file this is quick about 50 Min’s for a 1.5gig .avi file.
I choose to convert the .avi film to .vob simply because it takes an age to burn .avi files to DVD if you do this it takes about 50 minuets as apose to 2 or 3 hours.
Burning the DVD, I use Nero vision express no other reason really other than I use Nero for pretty much every thing else so it seemed logical, to me anyway but if anybody has any suggestions on a better DVD burner I’d be happy to take suggestions
I know that some of you will be thinking that he’s talking shite and “I know a better way of doing things”, please try to bare in mind I have written this post for beginners that are new to burning DVDs, like myself and out of all the programs I have used these are the best to if you cant be arsed to read the help and read me files.

B-Town Guest | thankz for the help butters but i’m not sure what to do, i don’t want to rip a DVD video into .avi then put it on a dvd, i’ve got a downloaded .avi filez that i want to watch on my dvd player......

Butters Guest | Use win avi B-Town. http://www. winavi.com/video-converter.htm
you can convert the .avi files to .vob for quicker burning or burn the .avi files directly to disc using nero vision express (takes longer)
hope this helps
