Microsoft puts out its fighter again the popular Apple iPod. No contest. Unfortunally for Zune, the iPod wins.
The only real thing the Zune has to keep it alive is a bigger screen, song sharing, and different colors besides black and white. None of these are really going to make a difference.
And I agree when people say Microsoft made things irritating by using the points system to buy songs instead of 99 or 79 cent songs. Zune is nice if you are a hardcore fan of Microsoft and hate Apple.
I bought a Zune because I wanted to be different than the whole iPod crowd but now I see why there is an iPod crowd. It is better. Sorry Microsoft, its a no go for this one.

so the format of MP4 AVC/H.264 is useless in DVD to iPod.Or,we can say that speed is the most important things of a DvD to iPod converter!!!
I admit that MP4 AVC/H.264 have a good quality than MP4,but don¡¯t forget that you watch your movie in iPod, But when you are watching movie in your ipod , how do you to differentiate between H.264 and Mp4 format?

iPod
1. Largest online music store. Subscriptions aren’t my thing ($15/month from MS to rent music on Zune). I don’t want to `rent' music. If I only want to use iTunes for a few hard find albums (as I do), I can, without getting looped into some monthly fee. I can download videos from iTunes. I can download games. everyone knows that ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter is very popular in iPod user, I am one of the software user,too. The Zune fits a small demographic of people who have a somewhat, but not extremely large collection of music. What about the 14 year old girls who have like 300 songs?
What about the music-lover with 15,000 songs? What about the jogger who wants like 200 tunes to run to? The Zune does not satisfy any of their needs.
UPDATE: Yes, I have highlighted why iPod is better and more worthier of a buy than a Zune. I’m a Microsoft fan and love their technologies but Zune and Windows Vista are a disappointment.

Software and overall performance:
The Zune Marketplace software is a critical part of the Zune experience and Microsoft has mostly gotten the two to work very well with each other.
Based on the Windows Media Player in design, the interface is dark, clean, and stable. It’s aesthetically pleasing and functional, with lots of album art represented and sparse text in the left-hand navigation pane.
The Zune Marketplace jukebox features are fairly standard — burning, ripping, and music management, though power users might want to use an additional piece of software for deeper activities such as transcoding, podcasts (no podcast section), and recording. It will rip CDs into MP3, WMA, and WMA Lossless (though the Zune will not play lossless files) at up to 192Kbps.

You may notice a pause here or there while you navigate, but it isn’t any more notable than other players. Sound quality is excellent — very similar to the Toshiba Gigabeat S with balanced, punchy sound.
Overall, the Zune is a well-designed portable media device with good playback performance, a snappy processor, and an excellent interface. Wi-Fi sharing worked well, but prospective owners should know its format support, especially for videos, is limited.
So ,sometimes ,we have to turn to one good video converter and then play it on the Zune. There are many video converters can do this job, but choose a professional one is much more important .
