you’ll need to extract the mpeg1/mpeg2 video out of the image with a program like isobuster. when the image is loaded in isobuster, right click on image file and -extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames-. also you must leave the filename name as avsq001 or whatever it is until after its extracted out of the image, when its been extracted out then u can rename it

for those of you who do not know how to rename files
(such as .dat to .avi)...

Go to “My Computer”
on the top...go to “Tools” — then — “Folder Options”
on the tab go to “View”
then make sure the box is UNchecked for “Hide extentions for known file types”
then after unchecking....you press “OK”

then...you should be able to see the .dat file name

hello,
using your directions extracted x.dat file from x.bin
1. opened x.bin file with WihISO (good program)
2. in WinISO i see four folders inside, one of them has AVSEQ01.DAT file which is about the same size as movie should be.
3. extracted it from bin archive (just drag and drop)
4. renamed into x.avi

tried to play - it does not play. i tried different players:

winamp - NOTHING.... it does not complain but does not play either
vlc - started to play, but no picture, just bits of sound, which seems to be movie sound
windows media player - says invalid format.

ideas?
