I’ve been using the same exact klcodec pack(the same exact installer file) over some years on the same exact OS(winxp) but I’m having some problems with my video. I’m hoping I can get this figured out.

Before anything, my new hardware are:
Core 2 Duo E6600
evga 680i A1
evga 8800GTS
1GBx2 OCZ PC-8500
Xi-Fi Platinum sound card

First off, some files played on my WMP has become noticeably choppy and some what brighter/blurry. I can’t really specify what file it is because I’m at work. The same exact file will play fine on VLC but without the same quality of picture I enjoyed on my old computer. Right now I’m guessing it could rather be:
1. My new hardware’s driver(nvidia forceware and creative drivers) conflicting with my klcodec
2. My KLcodec installer file is corrupted since I had some error pop out during installation since it’s never happened before. However, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it in safemode without any error.

As of now, I’m thinking of cleaning out all the codecs on my computer, but wondering if simply uninstalling my klcodec is good enough. Is there any other codec packs as good as the klcodec at the moment?
