Using windows server 2003, video clips are distorted after enlarging window

Hi, I’m using windows server 2003 on my workstation and when I enlarge the window size in media player or any other media player, the picture is grainy and pixilated (I’m not sure if that is even a word). When I had XP, after resizing, the video was still sharp and clear. I’ve installed all the same codes as before. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
