I have a problem. I downloaded a bunch of RMVB files, and they play on Windows Media Player just fine, but I can’t seem to import them to Windows Movie Maker. Can anybody tell me why that is, or how I can fix it? Thank you very much!

Have same issues ,want to solve them ,because I have like you said a bunch of .RMVB converted files which I want to use in an AMV... But just can’t import them.
The answer is easy... When you converted, you coded them one more time ,thus making smaller and saving the quality,am I wrong?
That’s the price we must pay... :/
Anyways I’m searching for solutions for this prob. now...so If you have found any or if later on I will find any... Give me a msg. ,my e-mail corp_capsule@yahoo.com
G.L man!

Hmm...I’m not sure if mine were even converted in the first place...they might have just been made as .RMVBs. I could be wrong, though. Anyway, I hope we find an answer soon!

its impossible to ever import an RMVB file into WMM so you will need to convert it to WMV or AVI or a format WMM does support. i have had success in converting RMVB to AVI with any video converter 2.06 (2.06 is free 2.07 is not) download here you can use that to convert RMVB to AVI then u can use it with WMM good luck ^_^

If you already have the codecs installed, (if it can play in media player), just change the extention to avi, and it loads perfectly fine here ^^

It works here for like 10 seconds... The parts load and WMM is able to play and edit them, but 10~15 seconds later, WMM crashes and when i open it again, the video isn’t there anymore. lol

Seems i’ll have to download the converter after all
