I have a DVD player which plays Mpeg files however, it gives me error when I try to play Mpeg files which show their extension in the windows as “Video Clip”.....

Some inputs in terms of what is the difference and How can I convert these video clips to mpegs ?

'Video Clip' tends to suggest it’s an avi (well in the Windows 98 days it did, whereas 'Movie Clip' usually meant mpeg). Just to be sure feed the file into avicodec or gspot to determine the actual file contents regardless of extension and whether you need additional codecs.
