I need help big time

I just got into downloading torrent’s and I dont really know what I am doing. I downloaded a torrent and it went into WinRar and from there it has the avi to play the movie. It says it needs a passwords and the nfo files give me these false directions to sign up for something and I never get the password. So my questions are either are there torrent’s out there in which you don’t have to use a password and where are they? if that cannot be answered how can I possibly find the password. Any help at all would be much appreciate.

It’s best to use sites where plenty of people leave comments. I mostly use mininova torrentspy and demonoid. You should generally avoid dowloading .rar files anyway as they could contain anything.
