Technical_Sp. Guest | if you can’t watch your avi files , try to update the Divx to ver.5 some movies which made by it , can’t be played on pervious version of Divx like ver.3 (try to use SMR codec , its semi like Divx)but some type of avi movie format need it (i think its like Divx ver.4)
winamp won’t played movie well , maybe if u have the latest version of winamp it can played the mpeg files well
try to play the movie by using WMP (windows media player)if u use version 7.00 its will be better [but u know sometime wmp can’t play the video well if its mpeg more than 1GB , when someone try to more the timeline the wmp freeze 'often'

someone Guest | there’s a hax0red v. of the mp4 codec that will allow you to watch divx movies encoded by the teg or smr groups. i’m currently having trouble on winbloze xp, but i’m going to try it on a win2k box tomorrow and see if i have any luck. will post again if i find a solution
