unnowne Guest | ok, i need mayor help here, and if you can help i would apreceate it if you would explain it to me as if i wher a moron or a small child cuz i have no clue about codecs and stuff.
my buddy got me a cd with Gugnrave anime on it, when i play it in my Windows media player, it plays without sound, when i play it in my DivX it gives me this message
The Video File you are opening includes video and audio that
is not recognized by the DivX Player.
The file contains the following type of data:
Video Data: FOURCC code “WMV3”
Audio Data: Tag 255
You may need to install new video and audio codecs on your
computer to watch this video.
now, i already downloade the latest versions of Windows media player and DivX, but still the same problems remain, please someone help me, i’ve been looking for an answer for this for the last 8 hours, and i am geting realy realy tired, i just wanna rest, please help me. | |

Jenshin Guest | There is a program called GSpot (no sexual reference intended) that detects if you have the codecs needed for a certain movie downloaded at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GSpot.htm
What I finally did - got AAC (apple codec) and the Matroska Codec pack. I don’t know which one actually did the trick but now I can play my .avi. Hooray. | |
