Comp wont recognize some dvd's

I have a dvd player in my computer, but it won’t recognize some of the dvd’s I try to play in it. It recognizes my store bought copy of the film “True Stories” and my bootleg of a radiohead concert, but it won’t play “Amelie” or “Stop Making Sense”. Any ideas?
