A few weeks ago, I downloaded a complete series of a Chinese tvb drama. But then the problem is that most asian sites make their video formats in Real Media.

This is really annoying because I CAN"T CONVERT IT! I’ve done like 2 weeks of research.... downloaded like over 10 programs for rmvb conversion (to avi/dvd or something that can be converted to dvd easily).

My goal is to put these RMVB files onto a DVD so i can watch it on a DVD. I have lots of experience with making DVDs but this is just very annoying. All the programs I downloaded to hopefully convert rmvb always has a problem. Most of the programs I used are registered too.

I tried many of the guides like using EO video or using the VirtualDubMod/Avisynth way.... No luck.
I used Cucusoft MPEG/AVI TO DVD/VCD/SVCD/MPEG (registered) and it accepts Real Media format. But when i tried, it said “COULD NOT OPEN MEDIA FILE! YOU MAY NEED TO INSTALL SOME CODECS blah blah..."
I installed the full package there, K-Lite... Real Alternative.... No luck. Same thing.

But I can play them smoothly on Windows Med classic and standard player.

Uhh some help pleasE?

Hey Prayer,

I am trying to do the same thing as you.
I am trying the Cucusoft trial version and got the same error as you.
You need to rename the TVB rvmb files to US characters.
The software doesnt recognizes chinese, jap, or korean characters. So try renaming as tvb1.rvmb and that will do the trick!

Also, when you about to burn to dvd, make sure you set the video’s frame rate to 29.97 fps in the advance setting or
else when u burn to dvd, the picture is a little jagged and skippy. I used Nero to burn though..

I am thinking of buying this software...

Good luck!
