Secrecy breeds suspicion, suspicion leads to reaction...normally in the form of a warning or a ban.
For future reference, just be open about what you are doing. There really is no need for all the cloak and dagger stuff.
If people are going to act all secretive and deceitful, don’t whine because you got a reprimand. It is a moderators job to safeguard and uphold he rules and integrity of this site which Etain did.
Now I can understand people being a little upset about getting a ban, but Etain was only trying to do what she saw as her duty. It was a judgment call and maybe if people were not so secretive, Etains judgment could have been more informed. ---

Well, I suggest that peple only stick to bB code that is text related and if they are going to post potentially harmful code, dont edit it so that no one can see it., That in itself is very suspicious.
If you try and harm the site, than expect a warning or a ban, depending on the offense. Its as simple as that. People should know the rules and if they like being here, they shouldn’t try and stuff it by finding BB code exploits and hacks. There really is no need.
If you have a suspicion that something could cause problems to MC, don’t try and find out if it will by testing it, just e-mail Bjarne and let him sort it out. If people try and start testing malicious code, it could ruin the site for everyone and probably result in a long term or permaban for the culprits, especially if they had intent or knowledge of the possible outcome of their actions.
Sorry, I mean a long term or permaban for the people who ACTUALLY cause MC to become corrupted, not those who experiment. Just thought I would clear that up. If you screw up Movie Codec, then you should face serious consequences.
