FrightfoO Guest | The correct extesion of the file’s probably AVI
The .xvid.fov is part of the file’s filename. The end extention’s probably hidden (.avi).
To show the extensions (XP):
Open a folder>Tools>Folder Options>View and untick 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Apply changes.
Analyze the files using GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) or AVICodec (http://avicodec.duby.info/). These will give a definitive answer to what format the video file is.
It’s probably XviD as doh mentioned. I recommend either installing Latest (stable) binary XviD-04102002-1.exe (411kb) - (http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml)
OR
Install 3ivX (www.3ivX.com). Before doing this make sure all codec packs are uninstalled and also be sure there’s no DivX or XviD codecs installed because 3ivX can decode DivX and XviD by itself.

labish Guest | .r47 might be part from a collection of files .r01 to whatever so use WinRar and select all and extract to desktop or folder.Accordind with the title you have to get an Xvid file.VLC or BSplayer or Xvid player you may download from this site:http://www.free-codecs.com/ Also is good to have any of codecs pack or mega pack install. If you have only one file and is Xvid use GSpot from the link given and this is a tool called video analyser, open the file with and click on render. If you have any players install GSpot is going to tell you which one can play the file if not can’t render but read the type of file you have and you know what to look for.AviCodec is another video analyser and beside the video and audio details about your file is giving you a link to download what you need. Here is another link for codecs:http://lists.gpick.com/pages/CoDecs.htm
