HL luver Guest | dont be so quick der cale...
half-life 1 compared to halo 1 would lose in graphics but most probably win in storyline.
You also got to compare the differenct types of gameplay that comes out of these 2 games
Halo 1 is all out war/close quaters/horror/stunt work on vehicles, the effects are damn good except for the fact that bullet holes dont appear on the deceased, its AI was hilariously good wer you’d see a marine pumping 10 shhels into an already dead alien because he’s pissed off.
Half-Life 1 is mostly a stand alone game with the occassional security guard here and there armed with a pistol. Its AI was at most funny/stupid, wer a soldire would yell 'OH SHIT!!' and duck right next to the granade that had jsut been thrown at him.
The plot is based scientifically, and on the consiquences of an unexpected side effect of a type of test method. weras halos plot revolved around an ancient races creations and aliens with far more advanced technologies. And as a bonus it provides vehicles and a mid sence of gravitational effect (which hl1 had basically none of).
Halo 2 I must say is mid sized leap in graphics from the 1st and the teamplay, although less, is basically the same. Theres also the new experience of if you will 'street fighting', which brings a new experience (also helped along by the great AI), as well as the privilage to drive the covernants feared 'morter tank' and have the ability to jack a hostile controled vehicle by jumping on, beating the crap out of him and throwing him off so you can drive, an experience most enjoyed by XBox luvers and used frequently in multiplayer.
Half-Life 2 is a 'HUGE' jump in almost everything including the much worshiped Havok physics engine desinged to make the world seem completely affected by the forces of gravity and bouyancy. You rarely, if ever, find a static bottle lying around that seems not to be affected by gunfire, instead you’ll find that by walking on/up to it it will shudder and fall in not fall imedeatly, thers also the chance of it being kicked away by your feet.
you can literally buy a drink, in da game, and throw da can at a nearby metrocop whos job is to ensure that action, that affect the reputation/stability, of the combine do not go unpunished or occure at all.
The weapons are also different, more/less accurate or carry more/less ammo than each other, most of the weapons are based on or are the weapons that presently exist today. The set dat that HL2 occures is not exact but we’ll have to assume that its much, much earlier that Halo’s.
As a bonus, becuase of the havoks capabilities valve were able to add drivable vehicles to the game, an old dune buggy with a built in tau cannon and an airboat which is later equiped with a turret previously belonging to a Hunter Chopper. In Halo 1 and 2 there are multiple drivable vehicles including the pelican (a covernant fighter) and the human built Scorpian Tank.
Well im not going to carry on seeing as by now you should have a clear picture of wat we’re comparing.
thank you and good night |
