it was the best game of its time, back when the playstation 1 was the best system out there, final fantasy 7 still is an awesome rpg, its only flaw are bad graphics, but the story line is great and there was a rumor about a PS3 remake of FF7 but the rumor was debunked by square enix saying they never announced such a project
sucks bad sutch Pressure must be on Squeare Enix, i mean “hmm how can we make monny really fast”??? “excuse me sir people are saying theres going to be a Final 7 Remake”
“nahhh that would never work...lets make Dragon Guard 3 its the way forward” “sir whats Dragon Gaurd”.
ff7 was great for its time becuase it had the best graphics around, it had the most in depth story, so in depth they were able to make movies and other storys that felt proper and not tacked on, the action was also fun, and it was the first 3d final fantasy game, the rest of the good stuff i cant say cus it wuld spoil it, just wait till it hopfully comes out on ps3 or just buy it from the ps store when all the ps1 games become avalable for download
Final Fantasy VII was the first Final Fantasy game to move away from the traditional 2D graphics into the 3D graphics. It was one of the first games so long that it had to span across multiple discs and it introduced the ATB which has remained a constant in every FF game since. The materia system is still the best magic system in any FF game to date, the draw system from FF8 was good but it didn’t present the ability to combo up magics to create even stronger attacks. The game’s graphics were second to none, up until the end of the PS1 it was called one of the best looking games of our time.
The characters were original and had depth to them, their individual stories were charming and really made you fall in love with them. I’ve still not met a single person outside the internet who didn’t shed a tear when Jenova killed Aerith, if that isn’t proof that people didn’t get attached then nothing is.
The entire story was rich and really pulled the player into the game. From the beginnings of being a terrorist organization up to the very end of fighting to save the life of the planet the people on it, you feel as if you’re a part of the game, as if you ARE Cloud Strife.
Those are the reasons why Final Fantasy VII is the best in the franchise, and quite possibly one of the best games ever.
Round of a plause Cid thats what i was looking for emotion if a game can make you feel something to truely touch you and connect you to this other world then yes its worth the buy over and over.
God Bless

It was Jenova disguised as Sephiroth that killed Aerith, it’s a very common mistake because that’s not mentioned in the game. As for what happened to Seph, well it’s kind of a long story, I know he thinks that he was created and not born but that’s not true at all. His father was Professor Hojo and his mother’s name was Lucrecia, Hojo experimented on Sephiroth while he was still in Lucrecia’s womb, which is kind of sick. He injected J-Cells into him while he was still growing inside her.

Nah, Jenova was impersonating Sephiroth the entire time. If you read the Ultimania Omega you’ll learn that the real Sephiroth was in the Northern Crater through the entire game.

THAT sucks!
Yeah, it’s pretty weird, but Sephiroth was controlling Jenova then entire time, so I guess it sorta counts.
