Need Help With MPEG Conversion

Hello,

Have a 6 minute highlight reel we have to submit today. It’s all edited down in Vegas 6 into a solid avi clip. Can’t render it to MPEG because of a plugin I don’t have called:

MPEG-1,2 Professional Plug-in 1.0

I’ve tried 3rd party converters, but they say’s:

'The AVI file I’m trying to convert needs dvsd codec'.

Is it possible I can’t use 3rd party software unless it’s rendered first in Vegas using the plugin mentioned first?
