adam_hp_2003 Guest | Hello All,
I have recently bought a 4gb LISONG MP3 Player from Hong King ebay. Everything “was” fine until 3 weeks after i received it. It stated “Disk Error!" and I have firmware version 48. I am assuming I need firmware 50. Previously I uploaded mp3 music and when I went to change folders you had to repeatly press the '+' button so it will not stay on the same folder! What a drag!!!
Can any1 help? my email address is adam_hp_2003@hotmail.com
Cheers lads!

seeking Guest | If you have an mp4 player it does not mean it plaus mp4s it most likely plays AVI. (a type of movie file) use an AVI converter convert your movies and load it on to your mp4. At least your works mine is broken They tend to last about a week once you start using them.

DaftScouser Guest | Just thought I should inform you guys about these really cheap players. I know they say they are 2,4,8 Gb players but this is NOT true! They seem to be running a memory hack to increase the size of the memory! The only way to correct this is to use the mp3 player disc manager. In the prog select “low” on the format type options. Then click on the “partition and Encrypt” tab. Slide the slider bar all the way to the right and then click start. After that the player will reboot.
Now do the same again only this time have the slider bar all the way over to the left and click start. When thats done you will have a proper formatted player sadly with less memory than advertised but your tracks will play ok now. Take it easy & hope this helped you all

DaftScouser Guest | Also please note everybody. Its not the firmware its this memory hack that is causing the players to go faulty. Follow my guide in the last post and all will be well!

So what do I do if I have a blank white screen after following the format instructions you said.

Guesto Guest | Hey guys, for 4GB players you need to format it to FAT32, otherwise leaving it in FAT will only show up to 1GB of space available. That should solve the disk-error and corruption problems without having to upgrade firmware. If you format and the size is less than the 4GB advertised then you unfortunately bought hacked players. I hope this helps. Also check out www.mympxplayer.org for great info.
