Hi this has probably been mentioned somewhere but could not easily find it.
I have ripped many of my movies into 700mb avi files and they play on the pc fine if i have divx installed, when i watch them on windows media player it comes up in the bottom right with the divx logo so im assuming media player is using divx to play them.
I wanted to buy a portable dvd player and ive seen one that says divx. Does this mean that if i burnt one of these 700mb avi movies to a dvd data disc using say nero then i can just put it into the dvd player and it will play fine?
Would i be able to put about 5 or 6 on a 4.7gb dvd and they all play fine?

Thanks very much if someone can help!

The link to the dvd player is below if this helps
