Hello!
I’ve installed ffdshow-20040808 and the official Matroska codec pack (with the Morgan Stream Switcher). However, when I try to play a certain .mkv file in Media Player 9, only the audio plays, not the video. What am I missing??? Is my file corrupt? How do I check/fix it?
I tried playing the file in ZoomPlayer and TCMP. In ZoomPlayer, I get an error saying that either the file is corrupted OR I am missing codecs. When I open the file in TCMP, the program immediately crashes.
I’ve tried to play other .mkv sample files, but I either get error messages saying I’m missing something (without telling me what) or the program crashes.
Thanks in advance!!!

Lysistrata Guest | Hmm, I’ve managed to play the sample file from the following site:

...but still not the file I want to play.

anonymous Guest | Feed the file into videotoolbox to determine the codec(s) you need. (don’t use gspot or avicodec -videotoolbox is the only program that will read matroska at this time)
