Turn the Status window off in Advanced Options/Debugging and it won’t lock up

The option they are talking about isn’t in Premiere, it’s in the Xvid encode options.

Hi
I have Adobe Premier Pro for XP and i’m running into a compression frustration. I want to compress some video i’ve recorded onto my computer. I recorded it in a simple mpeg 1 format. I’ll import the video into premier then drag it in the video/audio timeline with no problem. Then i’ll go to “export movie” and pick “microsoft avi” so the Xvid codec is a selectable option. I select the Xvid codec,no problem. But When i’m at the audio tab to select an audio compression, i don’t see the “mpeg” option. Only when i export audio only, do i see the mpeg 4 audio compression. Does any of you smart folks know what i’m doing wrong...Thanx

The listed fix didn’t work for me because there was no option listed in the Advanced Option/Debug window to turn off the status window. I’m using Xvid 1.0.3.

It worked for me. I’m using XVid 1.1-beta2.

I was able to drop in an xvid encoded file, but the audio was out of sync. (Variable bit-rate [VGR]vs. constant bitrate [CBR]) I had to re-encode it to an mpeg file using the instructions here — http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/140703.php. Once encoded as mpg then the sound and video synced and looked fine

I’m having problems with the monitor that previews the edited material using Xvid. Also the source monitor is having some slight problems, like not showing the picture while jogging. Any help?

Glad I found this I sat with that darn window on for ages before killing Premiere. I tried Xvid because DivX will not render right from prem pro 7 or 1.5, but I now have an answer for that problem as well grin
