FrightfoO Guest | .dvd-screener.dvl.sharereactor is part of the filename.
It can be broken download like this:
dvd-screener = the source of the file is a DVDScreener.
dvl = the name of the release group.
sharereactor = this is the name of the site where it was posted.
What comes after the very last '.' is the extension.
To show the extensions (XP):
Open a folder>Tools>Folder Options>View and untick 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Apply changes.
It will most probably have an extension of .AVI and will need the XviD codec or someother codec capable of decoding XviD video to be installed.
Analyze the files using GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) or AVICodec (http://avicodec.duby.info/). These will give a definitive answer to what format the video file is.
I use 3ivX (www.3ivx.com) for watching both XviD and DivX encoded content. For it to work to its best, uninstall any DivX or XviD codecs. 3ivX can decode both DivX and XviD by itself.
OR
Install:
Latest (stable) binary XviD-04102002-1.exe (411kb) - (http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml) Make sure other versions of XviD are uninstalled before installing it.
