More .MDF Trouble!

I Have A Major problem. I just received a .MDF file extension from a friend. It is a dc game file. The advice at moviecodec suggests to use alcohol 120 to use my .mdf as a virtual drive and use a dc emu to play the game. My problem is I don’t want to do this. I want to burn this image to play it on my dc. When I used alcohol120
2 burn it I just got an error during the burning process. Please Help! [I need this backup]
