I just determined yesterday that you can actually provide the link to a PM. Please include this when you need to report something said in a PM. That way we won’t have to try to take one person’s word over another . Thanks.

Hmmm you’re right . That’s weird it worked yesterday when I was doing it while logged out...unless it recognizes your IP.

Ok my apologies everyone. It worked when I tested it last night, but apparently it doesn’t now...

Howabout you change your password to something other than your originl one and pm that to the mods, that way they can go into your account and check..Then once they are done and have responded, you can change it back and all is well

Its what I did to help Tuscan get his page up and running

How about Bjarne Makes it so you can block certain users from PMing you. That way If This WWWMWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Dude “Says” he’s getting Racist crap then he can block whoever’s doing it. And If they’re not really doing it “Which My guess is they’re not” Then he can’t say they are sending him messages or else he would have blocked them. Just A suggestion.

I think that’s a great idea actually Brutus. The only thing is there should also be a control where you can’t block mods (we have to get a hold of you guys sometimes lol).

If there were a way for your suggestion to be implemented then people could just block someone from PMing them if they were bothered by the person.

Has always been the plan (by expanding the functionality of the friendlist to also support a hate/blocking list. I hope to get it implemented in the foreseeable future :-)

Also regarding reporting PMs, at this time no-one but the sender and the receiver can see any given private message. You can report a url containing the PM as much as you want, but as some of you pointed out, a moderator would not be able to actually view the message. My question in relation to this is:

Should I allow moderators and myself (super user) to view any PM sent to a person of “lesser rights” than ourselves (provided we are given the link/message id)?

( of course, thirdly: I CAN view all messages, including PMs, manually by going into the database )
