Actually, it can. Problem is, its more software in the case of the 360 and PS3, and more hardware in the PC, since the PC uses Direct X10 to run this game at max.
Its a common misconception that if a PC game uses a higher level API, then a console can’t run it, at least at the same quality. This is, however, untrue.
For example, Shadow of the Colossus had motion blur and HDR. The hardware of the system does not allow such things to be rendered, normally. They can go into the software and “simulate” such features, to any degree, but it will be FAR HARDER on the system. It will also be a bitch to develop, (In SOTC’s case, they had limited features, but were still present).
The 360 and PS3 both can use the Direct X10 features, but it will be software based in most cases, meaning it won’t run as well, or they won’t even do it in the first place. ---

No. Well, if CryTek decides to actually try in porting the game.
Just more CPU intensive code. The CPU’s on both the PS3 and 360 are damn awesome, they could probably software the graphics. ---

We have yet to see if there even is going to be multiplayer. Many games that seem to be coming out now you just have to wonder how they could make multiplayer work like crysis, Metroid Prime 3, and Battalion Wars 2. --- PkmPFC:0301-6372-2725 MPHFC:5455-2991-6686

Shadow of the Colossus and Rogue Squadron II are perfect examples of what I’m trying to say.
You can use software to run what video hardware is unable, but it uses more CPU power. ---
