no sound while playing avi and srt file

okay. i downloaded a movie with .avi and .srt files. i got the files to work. i try to watch it on realplay and i see the video and i see the subtitles. but the only problem is there is no sound. what can i do to hear the sound? i downloaded AC3 filter but i don’t know what i do with that to get the sound. help me please?
