And WMP says it’s missing a codec, and i thought it could be DX50 since G-Spot tells me so. but why isn’t it working? a little help please, A concrete question: WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE DX50 CODEC STANDALONE, NOT DIVX! I ALREADY HAVE THAT ONE, I ALSO HAVE DIRECTX!

kenny7611 Guest | I’ve just downloaded the ACE mega codecs pack which included all the codecs for all existing media such as dx50 codec and it works perfectly + no subscription needed (vs DIVX):

sjon Guest | dx50; isnt all that difficult.
It needs:
- for videorendering: M$-quartz.dll
- for audiorendering: M$-quartz.dll and IIS-L3codecX.ax;
The M$ Quartz.dll comes with de default windows distribution (MPEG1)
The IIS-Level three codec (frauenhofer)comes with XviD.
So you’d beter de-install stuff, because for DX50 - Merely the same as MPEG1 - you don’t need much.

winnie Guest | okay, so I’ve got divx5, as u said for the codec, now it doesn’t say that it needs codec, it says there is problem with directx, so I went to ms, installed directx9c, still it doesn’t work, after restarting and all, it only says reinstall when I try and play the movie on divx.
