I am kinda new on this forum and I would like to ask for some assistance. I have recently downloaded some movies but they came in a .cue .bin format which my computer does not recognize. Now I’ve read some posts on thsi site about these formats but most of them talk about burning them onto cd, which im not interested in. I just want to watch the movie that I’ve downloaded. Now to help u out with my problem I have prograns like Winavi, ConvertXtoDVD, and Xilisoft. My question is can I use any of thos eprograms for this. Also if I cant plz advise a good program to use. I dont have any knowledge about this type of format so details would be great. Other than that thats it lol.

Marcus Aurelius Guest | You again! Download Daemon Tools is a freeware and mount the bin on it. But I remember you have Nero 6 and this is the best Nero ever made version 7 sucks but anyway if you check your Nero for a Virtual Drive and is working the same like DT. Besides this VLC plays bin file so go to work and use them.

Once again thnx for the help. Your advice was great.
My next question is how do I burn a movie onto dvd that is a bin or cue format. Can I use nero or Daemon tools? and if I can how?
And another question other than that is.. is there a way to burning an avi format movie onto a dvd without converting it so much that the quality of the movie goes down. I tried making a data dvd with avi movies but unfortunately my dvd player doesnt read avi. My question is can I convert the avi movie to something else other than a vob so that the quality opf the movie stays the same.
Thank You. Your advices are great

Marcus Aurelius Guest | Combination cue/bin where cue is just a directory is more for cd sizes. To burn it look at the size of your bin and you now if is up to 700 MB is a cd and open Nero and look for burning image and point to the cue. Keep both cue and bin in the same place folder or directory. Converting an avi file never use a data choice is going to cut all of your setting. Remember if you start with a low quality avi you’re going to have a low quality dvd. Converting a video file is not making a better quality. Learn to choose your file before downloading. A dvd rip is the best quality, the cam is the poor one. Xvid file made from a cam is poor too and the sound sucks a camera has only one mike and the sound takes the theater effects so sometimes you can not hear the dialog. If your player is not working with avi don’t try to burn an avi just play it on your pc. If you have a bin file and you want to burn a dvd from it use any iso tool like WinIso or Isobuster and extract the avi and convert it to dvd. If your avi is a good quality set the VSO ConvertX to DVD to a high quality dvd, is going to take longer but is worth it. Open VSO setting click on Encoding and set for high quality. Good Luck.

I used xilisoft instead to convert the bin/cue movie i was talking about but when I pulled the file out of deamon tools it became a DAT file. So I convereted that to avi and than that to DVD using xilisoft. ALmost all my movies that I get from torrentspy are dvd rip. the only movies that are not are those that are still in thetres those are usually cue/bin KVCD. i already have set my encoding to high quality so what I might just do is get a dvd player that reads avi or xdiv or I might just borrow some movies and use a shrink tool to create dvds.
But anyways, thnx a lot for the help and aadvice. Its appreciated.
