Is it best to find a program to convert the file to mpeg-2 so that I can use Tmpgenc or is there a more efficient program that will do all the biz of getting the mpeg-4 onto the DVD without losing any quality?
Please assume I know nothing when you reply....because I don’t

Marcus Aurelius Guest | Check this site for guides is very good. http://www.afterdawn.com What you need is a converter from MPEG 4 to dvd and a dvd burner. TMPGEnc use to be my favorite software but today is passed by better softwares. http://www.tmpgenc.net/en/e_main.html The Tsunami DVD Author is still good and the name is Editor now but XPress works ok to make a DVD. Take a longer time and that’s the reason I switched to different brands. VSO ConvertX to DVD is very fast and easy to use and has a setting for best or good quality so if you want you can try it. None is a freeware so look for a retail version. Good Luck.

Since posting this I found AVS video tools (AVS video Tools Manager) which, although it takes quite a while encode and write, has managed to directly change my files from Mpeg-4 and then burn them to DVD. I’ve only taken a quick peek at the DVD but it seems to work ok.
I’m so glad I found this forum. I probably would have given up trying by now if I hadn’t.
Thanks again.
