No, my GT is made and ready to go, but my 360 cannot hook up to live, but my computer can still check messages though.

How do you know? It has to be hooked up to Live 1st. Messages aren’t received unless you have Live Silver.

I’m on www.xbox.comregistermyxbox, i can check messages sent to my GT using the computer, not the 360.

You automatically get it once you are signed up on Live. To get Live Gold you just type in the card code once you have Live all set up.

Why does a Sony fan know more about the 360 than a M$ fan?

The Live card that you buy at the store, unless you’re using a credit to pay for Live.

Yes, when you are connected to Live you automatically get Live Silver, which has a friend list, messaging, and downloads you pay for but that’s it. You have to pay for Gold which has the actual online play.
