Most standalone DVD players can only play certain formats like VCD (MPEG1), SVCD (MPEG2), DVD (MPEG2), and there’s no way to upgrade, as you can’t just install codecs or software.
A computer can playback just about any format. However you can only playback the different formats providing you install the correct codec/software. That’s the difference between the PC and a regular DVD player.
In essence, you need to convert the format you have on the PC to something that the DVD player can playback. |
