Intervideo XPack launches when I put a movie in the drive

Operating XP home edition SP2.

Is there a way to make WMP 10 my default player so Intervideo XPack (WINDVD) won’t initiate?

I would prefer WMP 10 be my default player because I’m more familiar with it but Intervideo XPack initiates every time.
