Baten Kaitos Guest | Most launch titles for the Wii do not look as good as most Xbox and Playstation 2 games.

What he means that it is sad that a Gamecube port from Nintendo looks better then the Wii 3rd party Publiser games. The Wii is two times more powerful then the Gamecube and more powerful then the XBOX. The Wii can make some really kick ass graphics if someone would just do it. --- <iframe src=“http://gamercard.xbox.com/REPLACE-THIS-WITH-YOUR-GAMERTAG.card” scrolling=“no” frameBorder=“0” height=“140” width=“204”>Put your gamertag here too.</iframe>

I thought it was 4 times powerful than GC...
Anyway, Xtrm...
First off, learn to spell...
Second, TP has great graphics. Dynamic real time shadows, HDR...don’t forget it also had to be able to run on the GC... --- 69

HDR...
What the fuck are you smoking? It uses bloom lighting, not HDR lighting. As for the dynamic shadows, that’s only in the shadow objects cast on the ground and its rather unimpressive. Besides, the GCN can’t do HDR...Well, it could, but it would be running at the FPS that Shadow of the Colossus does.
Still, it is a pretty game. Not through technical means, but through style. ---

What you fail to notice is Zelda is not trying to be “realistic”. The first thing I said when I played Zelda: TP on the Wii was not oh my god It’s like I’m playing real life bullshit. It’s the only next gen game that I can simply say is beautiful. It’s gorgeous. The sytle in that game makes it look like a beautiful painting. There is one thing more important in game design thatn simply graphics and that’s how the style of graphics fits the game. That’s why Okami is so amazing on the PS2 because of that. Not everything is going to be real.
Get over your fucking graphics whore ways. Gaming has and never should be about painting a realitic picture. GAming has always been about escaping the real world not putting yourself back in it. ---

Bloom, HDR, they look the same to me...and by dynamic shadows I meant they move depending on the location of a light source rather than always pointing in a single direction...I gotta work on my graphical terminology... --- 69Last edited 31 Dec 2006 11:19 pm by Weeman

PowerPC’s are extremely efficient and with the already efficient Wii architecture it’ll easily be able to exceed Xbox. ---
