Ksiushenka Guest | Hi!
I downloaded the codec and I can hear the sound now, but if I burn the DVD, will the sound work on my DVD Player?
I did see someone ask this question before, but I could not find a reply to it!
Please help!
Thank you!
By the way this is a very helpful site!

HedoSean Guest | Here is the URL for THE ACTUAL codec for the codec you need. NOT a link to a page that has links to pages that mioght have it somewhere. I offer much thanks to those wonderful fellas who offered these type of links.
Her ya go

http://www.moviecodec.com/download/ac3filter_0_70b.exe
With that aside, what happens if the link you posted fails like when they change the host or upgrade the version? The link will be dead, and no download possible. This is why people post link to the the actual main site, as there will be mirror links there

HiTo Guest | Hey i had the same problem ;after dling the codec, went to configs and set it to loud but it still didnt work. so i just tweaked those settings manually, unchecked the small boxes which restricted me and pushed them all to the max. everything. then it finally worked.

Hartwendy Guest | Thanks! I got the avi to play with sound and no errors that made WMP close!!!!
For anyone who needs help:
1. Go here:
http://www.moviecodec.com/downloads/audiocodecs.html
2. Click the first link under “AC3 codec” (divxmovies.com)
3. On the site, hold ctrl and press “f” on the keyboard. Then, search for “ac3”. Click on any of the links that say “AC3 codec” to download.
4. Install the file once you finish downloading it.
(Play the file, and if the sound is too low, then continue to steps 5-6)
5. Go to the AC3Filter Configuration (Mine was located in Start > All Programs > AC3Filter > AC3Filter config.
6. In the “main” tab, under “Gains”, pull up the “Master” to +20dB. Click “Ok” at the bottom.
Thanks again to the people who helped fix the “no sound” and “error message” problems!!! You guys rock!!

SwollenAxe Guest | Thank you!!!
I had downloaded the whopping 10.5Gb “History of Britain” series. I was mortified when I finished the download only to have no sound. Just before deleting the entire 10.5Gb a friend pointed me here. I was hopeful but not confident. It worked!!! I have sound!!! No volume issues either.
Thank you very much!

Meech Guest | Thanks for your help lads, the link did the trick for getting sound for the missing codec. I do have a problem on the DIVx side. The AC3 codec works great in windows media player, but when I play using DivX 2.5.4, the sound is not synced and really slow like the movie has been slowed down to 1/4 speed or something. Any ideas? Is this a configuration setting in DivX or in the AC3 Filter it’s self, any help is greatly appreciated.
