I have ATI all in wonder hooked up to my PC (Windows XP) to my VCR to convert VHS tapes into DVD. What is the recommended DVD burning equipment and program? I have DVD Pro, and Power DVD, NERO, and MY DVD- but I can not burn a DVD. Any suggestions from start to finish?

Roger,

Take a look at this site, and buy a major brand multiformat DVD burner (dvd-r,dvd-rw,dvd+r,dvd+rw)
Speed is not a big issue, buy quality over speed.

Find out what flavor of disc your target dvd player supports (the one you want to play it on)

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

Then go get yourself a 5 pack of the REwritable dvd’s that your player supports for testing purposes.

Mydvd is an all around good capturing program, and thats about all it’s good for. Use it just for capturing. Then use tmpgenc (www.tmpgenc.com) to convert your video to a dvd compatible format (it has wizards, they are easy) then use tmpgenc dvd author to create the actual dvd.

Trust me, this is the easiest method for doing this while maintaining relativly good quality.

If you have the s-video inputs with your
all-in-wonder as well as s-video outputs on your vcr then you’ll be better off using these, better quality overall.
