Carrera Joe Guest | I have a Sony DCR-SR100 Camcorder and using the Pixela Video editing software. The prblem with the software is that the audio can not be edited or changed. Is anyone aware of another software application for MPEG2 format that allows editing or changing the audio track?

steve-o Guest | try downloading a program like MPEG Clipstream in order to 'demux' mp2 files.

Denis Philips Guest | My problem is related. I uploaded the video from the DCR-SR100 into my PC, video was fine, but there was no sound when I play back the clips. Then I noticed that all other sound applications are gone - CD, Video, mp3. Has any one seen this problem.
Also, why did Sony discontinue this product?

jschultzewa Guest | I’m having the exact same problem - when I upload a video from the DCR-SR100 to my computer, the video is fine, but the audio is silent. When I start the video with Windows media player, I get a message “codec error”. Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks,
John

Larxene2 Guest | I have a sony DCR-SR36 which was meant to make my life easier but with a similar problem as yours, I can’t find codecs anywhere the software provided with it is rubbish and when i try to edit footage in movie maker it either says i dont have the right codec or plays the sound but not the video.
