You can try commercial mpeg encoders to find out which is the best, for example xing, lsx, panasonic, ligos, tmpgenc plus, to name a few. (type mpeg encoder on google, you’ll get a bazillion hits... flask, mainconcept... i could go on and on) better yet get a hardware mpeg encoder. those boards are much faster than any software solution.
