mvk to divx conversion

I can read a .mkv file through windows media player, but cannot read it with River Past Video Cleaner (in order to convert it in divx) : it gives me :“following file does not contain recognizable video” - does anyone have an idea ? thanks for help ! Tim

You might want to use virtualdubmod instead. Matroska is a relatively new video format and very few video editors can handle it.
