weecheng Guest | Last week, I found that for some reason I could not open a BBC News website video using my RealPlayer after a few months of non-use.
So, I downloaded the latest version of RealPlayer (10) from the real.com site. I installed it without uninstalling the older version. This time, I couldn’t even initiate the new RealPlayer. A box appeared saying “The procedure entry point _Isseki64 could not be located in the dynamic link library PNCRT.dll."
I then went to Control Panel’s “Add/Remove Programs” to uninstall RealPlayer. When I click it, it says “Uninstaller Component Missing”.
For your info, I use Window XP.
Can anyone advise, please? Thanks a lot!

Colin Guest | Met with the same problem but has solved it. download the following RealOneED.exe and install it. It is a plugin created by Chinese for windows media player to play real file. So ignore the Chinese and just install it. Then your realpayer will be fine.

Good luck

Judge Guest | Find your way to this folder: C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\Setup\ and click on the file: r1pclean.exe this will uninstall real player. You may see a message telling you it can’t do it but after clicking that away it should carry on and uninstall. After that you could go to: http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html and download this very good spyware killer just to put your mind at ease. !

Cool, worked for me too!
Thanks a bunch....I really hate Real Player....it’s such a scam that a company that behaves like this has been allowed to control a “standard” i.e. for streaming.

I tried the solution suggested by Judge. I could get to the message which says that Uninstalltion compelte ..but I still see all the files.

I have tried re-installing real by overwriting but still it doesn’t start.
I have tried deleting and installing again even that doesn’t work.
Pl help what to do ?
I am downloading the free player from real.com:

ross lloyd Guest | Hi all,
Yes indeedy Judge’s method works. I have one question though - RealPlayer is still in the uninstall list of the Add/Remove Programs dialogue! Is this bad?
Is this something that Real have decided to do, i.e. like spyware or something? Are Real guilty of trying to leave their dirty little mark on the world’s PC’s? VERY naughty ...
In addition, I have a very old computer (hamster powered) running 98SE and I am finding increasingly that, using media player classic (which i downloaded due to more and more probs with the newer windows media programs which just display a black screen for the same clips), many video clips of WMV and mpeg type will not play, or play in LSD colours with fractured sound. I have downloaded the KLM codec megapack, but i cant get certain videos to play! Any advice? Is it a codec issue, or just a “You have a sh*t machine” issue? I wanna watch my skydiving vids!
Thanks guys
Ross

Tomek Guest | prashant, I had the same problem every time I tried to instal RealPlayer offline. I used Judge’s method to uninstall and established Internet connection. After that I installed RealPlayer using THE SAME file (downloaded from real.com) and this time it worked.
