just go to www.howstuffworks.com or something like that, search for wii, and u will get a very detail description of the wii and how it works, and the wii has graphical power strong enough to compete with the 360, does this mean we can see games like gears of war on the Wii??? i think so

did any of you guys read how the wii works??? the wii is at least twice as powerful as the GC, if you read the whole thing then you will realise that the wii has impressive graphical potential

Dude you’re an idiot the 360 stomps the wii hard in graphical power and PS3 does the same with it, except the CPU of the PS3 is superior to the 360’s and most definitely the Wii’s. The Wii is a sorry excuse for a console; in fact, I wouldn’t pay a cent to play that piece of shit for even 5 minutes.

Dude graphics doesn’t make a game superior. Infact most of the 360’s greatest games are pretty much shooters and some other assortments. Wii excels at gameplay more then graphics.
also if gears of war uses only 50% of the 360s power, and if the wii is 50% of the power of a 360(details say more than 50%) then we could see games on the wii looking as good as gears of war, just not in HD cus the wii doesnt have the hardware in it needed for HD, which is also why the 360 doesnt support 1080 p and PS3 does

If you won’t pay a cent for the most popular, fun, and fastest selling console then you must think 360 and PS3 are below worthless.
The graphics processor (code-named “Hollywood” will use an ATI chipset running at 243Mhz with 3 MB of texture memory. It might also have 32 shader pipelines — 16 fewer than the Xbox 360. However, the Nintendo GPU is rumored to run at 500 million triangles per second (100 million sustained) — roughly equivalent to the Xbox 360. It will also be able to handle 50 billion shader operations per second, which is about the same as the 360 as well.
i find this impressive becuase the wii is quieter and smaller than the 360, also more power eficient.

God, I feel like I’m being mean to the Wii, but if thats so, then why does Call of Duty 3 look fairly bad on the Wii, couldn’t it be close to the same?

Because it’s focused more on gameplay.
And I got the video to work.
Although I gotta say, the video is somewhat propoganda.

thats becouse at the moment, devs are focusing on what makes the wii unique- its controller. soon, they will start focusing on graphics as well, and they will start getting a lot better. it will never be up to par with the 360, but it will be close enough.
here is an interesting thing. its right after the segment p. moore posted.
“If Nintendo pulls it off, the Wii console will have all the firepower of Xbox 360 and much simpler architecture that makes life easier for software developers."

In Canada the HD player is 100 bucks, and alot of that stuff comes in the 500 dollar premium package, (400 in the US) including the hard drive, it comes with a wired communicator, and 12 month xbox live is 70 dollars (in canada)
