hey guys, umm im not a regular here so please forgive me if this has been mentioned or if i seem like a n00b, thats kinda coz i am. hehe

i got some avi files off a friend to convert to VCD for them, problem is when i convert it i loose sound on one of them and the others the files arent working at all. so im thinking i need some newer codecs (mine are all oldish) but nothing i get seems to help.

Little more info dude.

What codec are your files currently?
If you don’t know get avicodec [http://avicodec.duby.info/]

What are you using to try to re-encode them?

Is this multiple little avi’s or just a couple of CD’s?
