i downloaded marvel ultimate alliance for pc, installed it, and every time i try to play the game it tells me to insert the proper cd/dvd and restart the application. i have the image mounted in alcohol so i thought i didnt need to burn any files to cd. plus there seems to be no seperated cd files anyways so i wouldnt know what to burn. i was under the impression that mounting the game files onto a virtual drive would trick the computer into thinking i was running the game from the disc. can anyone PLEASE help me out here? obviously im kind of new to all this and have been driving myself nuts for a week trying to figure this out. any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

This is a classic post and if you search this site for no cd patch you can find a lot of answers. Because you install the game from a virtual drive like Alcohol or Daemon Tools the game is looking for a real cd in your drive and installing a no cd patch for your game is going to fix it. Google for it and find it.

just cause the one you downloaded had a virus, doesn’t mean they all ahve a virus on them. you just got unlucky. next time, virus scan all your downloads to be safe and you shoudn’t have that problem
