The two sensors on the front measure how far the Wiimote is from the little thing you put on you’r tv (i forgot what it’s called).
The reason it needs two sensors is because with two it can sense in 3-d perfectly, thus giving it amazing motion sensing.
Down inside the wiimote are very small sliders that change when you turn the wii-mote at an angle, the slide, bump into a sensor, and the Wiimote sends a signal to the Wii telling it what to do using the third 'sensor'.
But this is still a complicated process, the Wiimote has a reaction time of 0.12 seconds.
A standard wired controller has a reaction time of 0.3 seconds, while a unwired standard controller has a reaction time of 0.11 seconds, right under the wiimote. |
